First Slice Of Imaginaria 3d Is Done!
10/26/2006 07:37 PM (GMT)

As you may know, the problems with lag, even on the smaller bench representing the New Orleans Square section of Imaginaria, had gotten to the point where I was forced to break things up into smaller, ride-specific, benches. The first one completed was The Haunted Mansion and I'm happy to say it has now been released. You can find some more screens as well as a link HERE.

Next up is The Pirates of the Caribbean, the ride is almost done, but know that Vodin has come up with all his cool tables and restaurant items, I plan to re-do the interior of the Blue Bayou before I release it.
More Billboard Fun

Sometimes you really want a certain look in your park. The in-game objects don't supply it, there's no custom scenery available to fill in... what do you do?

Sometimes it's as easy as coming across a photo or image that DOES portray what you want. Often you can use these images on billboards in the background to add depth and detail to areas of your park.

I found an image of an actual fountain featured in the Tokyo Disney Sea resort. I thought it gorgeous, but wasn't sure how to include it in my version of a DisneySea-style ...

Dog Days Of Summer
08/12/2006 02:29 AM (GMT)

Those who visit may notice that things are a bit slow here in the RCTspace Blogs... This seems to be the time of year when everyone is catching up on things left over from the summer, and getting started on those things from the fall... like school, etc. At least that's the excuse everyone in the Northern Hemisphere can use, but since I live in Brazil I can’t get away with it as easily!

Here it actually will be the first days of Spring next week (not that it matters that much here in the tropics…we're almost at 35 celcius/95 fahrenheit today!), kids went back to school after their winter break during the month of July (and are awaiting the Christmas break in December and January), and with a federal election coming up on October 1st they’ve darn near taken over every television channel with ad's and debates, so what's my excuse?

Believe it or not I just never took any screenshots!

Funny as it sounds, unfortunately it's true. As I mentioned before, I have broken my ...

Disney's Imaginaria New Orleans Square

My new project... Imaginaria's New Orlean's Square...

(Click on the thumbnail images to open a larger size in another window.)

On the shores of the Great River a lonely mansion rises in the dark of night... fleeting glimpses of pale beings peering out of it's darkened windows are seen as we pass...

Upriver the sounds of jazz floats through the air...

Welcome To Wagi's World

Ah, yes... from the fertile mind of wabigbear...

Yes, I'd be scared too...

While I still occasionally play RCT2, I have found that more and more my time is spent in RCT3. Yes, I'm all too aware of the limitations and frustrations in the game. I've upgraded my computer and still have to deal with those things. I sometimes wonder when I read posts by people who claim they get FPS rates of 50 to 80 in a full park, and then when I see their park I understand why...

I admit it... I'm a detail freak. I love layering things and adding small details. While I loath tooting my own horn... (no really... just ask anyone here...), I honestly like a park-building style similar to my own, where detail is important, and people can see a certain level of 'richness' - just as in real life. Because of that, and through painful trial and error, I've come to learn that like Carmel Cheesecake, such richness is best served in small doses.

Of course, that doesn't ...
